| Coverage | Residential Use | Light Commercial Use |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturing Defect (core integrity, click-lock profile, premature delamination) | 3 years | 3 years |
| Wear-Through Warranty (wear layer worn through to structural core) | 30 years | 10 years |
This Limited Warranty is extended by MG Floor Supply (“Manufacturer”) solely to the original purchasing consumer (“Customer”) and is non-transferable.
1. What's Covered
MG Floor Supply warrants that, under normal residential or light commercial use and when installed and maintained in accordance with our official Install Instructions and any applicable Care & Maintenance guidance, our SPC and WPC flooring will be free from verified manufacturing defects in:
- The structural integrity of the core material
- The factory click-locking profile
- Premature wear-layer delamination
for the duration of the applicable tier shown above, measured from the date of original purchase.
1.A Wear-Through Warranty
This warranty applies strictly to the wear layer itself. For a claim to be validated, the factory wear layer must be worn completely through to the underlying structural core, over an area of at least one (1) square inch. Gloss reduction, surface scratching, micro-gouging, or gradual sheen/color change over time are natural, expected occurrences and are not considered product failures or defects.
1.B Products Excluded from This Warranty
This Limited Warranty does not apply to Product that has been sold, labeled, or otherwise designated as “seconds,” “mill-run,” “closeouts,” “clearance,” “as-is,” or other non-standard/irregular grade. Purchase of such Product constitutes acceptance of its condition and grade as-is, and no manufacturing-defect or wear claim will be honored for it.
2. Installation Requirement
To keep the applicable Manufacturing Defect and Wear-Through warranty terms intact, flooring must be installed in full compliance with our official Install Instructions, including any specified subfloor preparation, moisture/vapor barrier requirements, acclimation period, and expansion gap allowances.
As a material supplier, MG Floor Supply is not responsible for installation workmanship or labor-related issues. Any damage, defect, or performance issue — regardless of its nature or appearance, and regardless of when it appears — is not covered if the root cause is installation not performed in strict accordance with our official Install Instructions, unless independently verified to result from a manufacturing defect in the material itself. This applies regardless of who performed the installation (professional installer, contractor, or DIY).
Installation of any flooring material constitutes the Customer's acceptance of its aesthetic quality, shade, and physical grade as delivered. Claims based on shade or grade variation discovered after installation of the affected material will not be honored.
3. What's Not Covered
In addition to the exclusions above, this Limited Warranty does not cover damage or performance issues caused by or related to:
Site & Substrate Conditions
- Subfloor movement, moisture intrusion, or site conditions not addressed by our installation guidelines
- Concrete substrate issues (moisture, flatness, porosity) not tested and remediated prior to installation
- Structural movement, seismic activity, or building settling
Environmental Conditions
- Direct or prolonged sunlight/UV exposure, which naturally accelerates surface oxidation and can cause color change or fading over time; furniture and rugs should be rotated periodically to reduce uneven exposure
- Relative humidity outside the 35–55% range, or failure to maintain stable indoor humidity; minor seasonal gapping or surface checking related to normal humidity fluctuation is expected and not a defect
- Excessive heat sources, including prolonged direct sunlight, radiators, self-cleaning ovens, or other high-heat equipment or appliances
- Exposure to standing water, flooding, sewer backup, or other water-related emergencies
Use, Load & Wear
- Normal wear and tears, surface scratches, scuffing, or dulling from ordinary foot traffic
- Heavy static point loads (furniture/fixture feet or rests exceeding recommended limits) or concentrated loads such as stiletto heels, cleats, or dropped objects that do not make adequate, flat contact with the floor
- Heavy rolling loads or hard/metal wheel casters that do not make adequate, flat contact with the floor covering
- Damage from misuse, negligence, abuse, or improper cleaning products/chemicals not specified in our Care & Maintenance guidance
- Excessive dirt, grit, or abrasive debris tracked in without adequate walk-off mats at exterior entrances
Other
- Natural color, sheen, or grain variation between production batches, dye-lots, or between physical samples and the installed product
- Fire, acts of God, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond the Manufacturer's reasonable control
- Any third-party adhesive not specified in our Install Instructions, and any bond, shrinkage, curling, or dimensional issues arising from its use
No Slip-Resistance Warranty
MG Floor Supply makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the slip resistance of this Product. Slip-and-fall risk is affected by many factors outside the Manufacturer's control — including floor contaminants, footwear, foot traffic, and individual user characteristics — and no coefficient-of-friction or similar performance value is guaranteed under this warranty.
4. Claims Process
To file a warranty claim, contact your sales representative or email sales@mgflooring.com within thirty (30) days of discovering the issue. Please include:
- Your original purchase invoice
- A written description of the issue
- Clear photographic or video evidence of the affected area
- Any relevant maintenance or cleaning product records, if the issue could relate to care practices
Our team will evaluate the claim and may require an on-site inspection, additional testing, or documentation of the substrate and installation conditions prior to approving coverage. Uninstalled or installed planks should not be discarded or altered prior to our review — doing so may void the claim, and Customer should retain a minimum of 3–4 uninstalled planks in original packaging when available. Installation of a plank after a defect is discovered constitutes full acceptance of that material and waives any related claim.
If a claim is approved, MG Floor Supply will, at its sole discretion, repair, replace, or refund the applicable portion of the Product's original purchase price for the affected area — this is the sole remedy available under this warranty, limited to one (1) replacement or resolution per claimed defect. If the original style has been discontinued, we will supply the most similar available item from current inventory in comparable color, design, and grade, where available.
5. Limitation of Liability
This warranty constitutes the exclusive remedy against MG Floor Supply for defects, damage, and material failures arising from this sale. There are no implied warranties beyond the express terms set forth herein.
MG Floor Supply is not liable for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including but not limited to lost profits, temporary housing or relocation costs, and removal or damage to moldings, baseboards, cabinets, built-in appliances, carpeting, drywall, wallpaper, paint, or any labor/reinstallation costs associated with repair or replacement of the flooring.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state. Unless a statement in this document is specifically identified as a warranty, any other statements made by MG Floor Supply or its sellers are not warranties and are not part of the basis of the bargain for this sale.
6. Governing Law
This Warranty Statement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under or relating to this warranty must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in LaSalle County, Illinois.
